How to use

Harris-Benedict (1919) was the first widely used BMR equation. It tends to overestimate for modern, less active populations versus Mifflin-St Jeor.

Formula

Male: 66.5 + 13.75·w + 5.003·h − 6.755·a; female adds 655.1 + 9.563·w + 1.85·h − 4.676·a.

FAQ
